About this room
The building at 212 East Davilla in downtown Granger dates to the early 1900s and spent the 1930s and 40s as a car showroom. It was converted to a dance hall in the early 1980s. The Cotton Country Club itself began in 1999 as Bubba Cox's project, passed through a few owners, and was bought in 2022 by Emily and Chris Hamilton - he a Marine Corps veteran, medically retired, who had come to country music through a musical therapy program and played in a band for about six years before deciding he would rather run the room than play it. It marked twenty-five years in 2024. Two stages, three bars, an outdoor courtyard, a restaurant, and the original pressed ceiling tiles.

- The room was a car dealership. The building showed automobiles through the 1930s and 40s before anyone danced in it. Source
