Cowboys Red River — Dallas
Country dance hall and nightclub · Dallas
Dallas country dance hall with a large dance floor, live music, lessons, and nightlife programming.
About this room
Cowboys Red River opened in Dallas in 1989, the first venue in what became a three-city chain, founded by Michael J. Murphy, who describes building the Red River legacy as a passion of more than six decades. The Dallas room earned a Country Music Association award for Nightclub of the Year. It set the template the company has repeated since: a large country dance hall with live bands, nightly dance lessons and a mechanical bull, aimed at volume rather than intimacy. It remains the flagship, on Technology Boulevard in northwest Dallas.
