The sequence
Establish a method that does not depend on sound.
Require acknowledgment in a form that works.
Write every modification.
And check that it arrived.
The decisions
What method. A written rail, a visual signal, a required acknowledgment — the format matters less than that it does not rely on voice.
Because during a set voice does not carry, per Module 44, and that is a physical fact about a hundred-year-old wooden room with a band in it rather than a discipline problem.
How to frame it. This is the part that determines whether it survives.
A cook who understands that the room defeats voice treats the written requirement as necessary. A cook who thinks it is about being careful abandons it exactly when the room is loudest — because that is when carefulness feels least affordable.
Which means the lead's job includes the explanation, not just the rule.
What you are reading
Whether acknowledgments are happening. A cook who starts something and glances up is the signal that the system failed.
And whether modifications are arriving intact.
What goes wrong here
A system that assumes people can hear each other.
Acknowledgment treated as a formality.
And a modification relayed verbally — which on an allergen ticket is the highest-consequence failure in this curriculum.
