Venue planning
Build a faster, more useful drink menu
Start with operational reality
A smaller menu that the entire team can execute quickly and consistently is usually more useful than a long list that slows service.
Balanced launch structure
- Two fast whiskey drinks.
- Two tequila drinks, including one Texas-friendly highball.
- One vodka crowd-pleaser.
- One gin classic.
- One rum or tropical drink.
- One beer cocktail.
- Two zero-proof drinks.
- One seasonal feature.
Approve every spec
Document the brand, exact pour, glass, ice, garnish, prep, allergen flag, ticket-time expectation, cost, price, and responsible-service note.
Test under pressure
Run the menu during a timed staff drill. Remove or redesign drinks that create station congestion or inconsistent results.
