Have a way to call for help.
And do not do the dangerous things alone.
The decisions
What not to attempt. Moving hot oil. Lifting alone. Anything at height. Anything involving the gas or the suppression system.
Those wait for a second person, and the decision is worth making in advance rather than at eleven at night.
And whether anyone would know. A cook alone in a building with a phone in another room has no way to call, which is a planning failure.

Ask what the plan is if something happens at eleven with one person in the building.
