Class 6 — Dilution Under Compression

Part of the Ice and Dilution school. Class 6 of 6.

The capability: you know what your technique actually does at a set break, and you have decided what to batch rather than discovering it.

Prerequisites: the whole school, plus Modules 40, 50.

The practice

Build the house spirit-forward drink at your Tuesday pace and at your Saturday pace. Refrigerate both. Taste them blind the next day.

That is the uncomfortable exercise and it is the one that changes behavior.

Then decide the batch list — which drinks get batched on show nights.

Then serve a batched version and a rushed version and compare.

The reference

Your own Tuesday build, which is the honest standard.

What you are building

An accurate picture of your own compression, which nobody has by intuition.

And the professional response to it: batch rather than pretend.

Because a bartender told to go faster without a batching plan will simply serve hot drinks, per Module 40 — and an undeclared compromise becomes a drift.

Verification and boundary

The blind comparison, and the written batch list.

Boundary: TABC is the controlling authority.
