Track Overview
The job: the first ninety days.
The shift: whatever they are given, which is usually the parts nobody else wants.
What makes this track different from the other eleven: it is the only one written for someone who does not yet know whether they want this work.
Which changes what it has to do. The other tracks teach a job to someone who has one. This one has to make the work legible fast enough that a person can decide — because the industry's real attrition happens in the first month, and a large share of it is people who never found out what they were looking at.
Prerequisites: none. This track is the entry point and it assumes nothing.
What it does not cover: any station in depth. It covers how to be useful, how to learn, and how to tell whether you are getting better.
