Class 6 — Building the Room's Drink

Part of the Texas Craft school. Class 6 of 6.

The capability: you can create something that belongs in this room specifically.

Prerequisites: the whole school, plus Modules 34, 55.

The practice

Identify what the room is — the building, the programming, the crowd.

Then build three candidates using the structures, per Module 34, with Texas products where they genuinely belong rather than as decoration.

Test all three at volume, on the hold, and under speed, per Module 55.

Then time them honestly and compute contribution per minute.

And name it plainly.

The reference

The room itself, and the guests' response over a month.

What you are building

The judgment to design for a specific room rather than for a general standard of quality.

Because a drink that is excellent and takes four minutes is not a honky-tonk drinkand a drink that uses a Texas spirit as a gesture rather than because it is the right base is decoration.

Verification and boundary

Twelve made in a row during a real rush, and a month of sales.

Boundary: menu claims and pricing are governed by applicable law and TABC.
