Draft system tools
Draft-system tools manage product, gas, movement and waste from keg to faucet. Couplers, line and trunk assemblies, FOB detectors and keg dollies are not accessories: incorrect type, pressure, sanitation or handling can contaminate beer, injure workers and create continuous loss.

Selection, capacity and installation decisions
- Match coupler type and seal condition to the keg system used by each supplier.
- Specify line material, diameter, length, insulation and cooling for the required balance and route.
- Use FOB detectors where keg-change foam and product loss justify the device and staff can reset it correctly.
- Select keg dollies for actual keg weight, doorway width, floor transitions and safe restraint.
- Keep spare washers, probes and approved small parts for the components most likely to stop service.

Commissioning, use and maintenance standard
- Depressurize and follow the venue’s safe keg-change procedure before disconnecting components.
- Inspect coupler probe, seals, check valves, line fittings and visible insulation.
- Move kegs with the correct dolly and body position; do not roll or drop them down steps.
- After connection, check leaks, temperature, pressure and pour before returning the line to service.
- Include components in the documented line-cleaning and preventive-maintenance schedule.
Performance and condition controls
Beer reaches the faucet at the intended flow and foam level.
Product remains cold through the full line route.
Kegs are moved without uncontrolled rolling, lifting or impact.
Equipment failure diagnosis
A near-fit damages the valve or fails under pressure.
Cooling ends before the faucet and chronic foam follows.
The device is bypassed or reset incorrectly after keg change.
Heavy containers are moved without suitable equipment.

Training and sign-off
Identify and connect the venue’s coupler types, inspect a line route, reset a FOB and move a full training keg with the approved dolly. The trainee must diagnose one leak and one warm-line foam scenario before sign-off.
